• King Fahad Hospital, Al Baha, is the main central hospital in the region serving a population of around 412.000
and receives patients from the other 9 peripheral hospitals and 102 Primary health care centres.
• The hospital's operation capacity is 560 beds, including 320 admission beds. The hospital is one of the
Orthopaedics Saudi Board Training Program (residency) training centres.
• My duties included:
• The first on-call to A&E, covering trauma and ward patients.
• Regular ward rounds daily, documentation, and writing discharge summaries.
• Attending the OPD clinics with the consultants.
• Attending and participating in journal clubs and educational activities weekly.
• Participate in elective and emergency theatre lists.
• Arranging monthly duty Rota for SHOs.

Functioned as SHO in the trauma room of the accident and emergency department, managing diverse injuries, including severe, life-threatening, penetrating, or blunt force injuries.

General Military Hospital is the largest military hospital in Sudan. The orthopaedics department serves a considerable population from all over Sudan affected by warzone injuries and trauma. Additionally, it is one of the centres for the Sudan Medical Specialisation Board in Trauma and Orthopaedics.

It was a rotating internship, three months each in general internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and
gynaecology, and paediatrics.
