One of the key findings of the MB3016 Library Project is the identification of several previously unknown bacterial species within the soil microbiome. These bacteria exhibit unique genetic profiles and metabolic capabilities, distinguishing them from known microbial taxa. Through phylogenetic analysis and functional characterization, researchers have begun to elucidate the ecological roles and potential applications of these newfound organisms.

• My literature review explored the potential link between Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the gut microbiome, and the GABA receptor. It reveals how disruptions in gut microbial composition affect GABAergic neurotransmission, influencing neurodevelopment and behavior in individuals with ASD. By understanding this relationship, potential therapeutic interventions targeting the gut microbiome and GABAergic signaling offer promise for personalized treatments.
