Hospital

Summary

Since graduating as nurse in 1998, I worked as a general nurse until I progressed into the area of Occupational Health in 2002. Since then I have gained vast experience in both the public and private sector as an Occupational Health Advisor. While working in Premier Grocery Products Ireland this allowed me to use my skills in decision making, particularly for case management. I managed my own work schedule, and I have a high level of initiative. In my current role in St. Johns Hospital, Occupational Health Department. I have gained excellent communication skills in the last few years as an Occupational Health Advisor, dealing with people at all levels in the work place to include employees, management, union officers and HR managers. My skills in dealing with conflict have been utilised as I have had dealings with both unions and employees, due to changes in procedures or introducing new policies and procedures to a long standing workforce in the past year. I enjoy working as part of a team but also on my own initiative. I am very adaptable, possess excellent communication skills and provide a high level of attention to detail. I would like to further my career with a challenging and fulfilling post that allows me to use my medical, organisational, and interpersonal and problem solving skills including my recently updated computer skills. I am a purpose-driven Occupational Health Nurse used to performing various types of health screenings for employers. An advocate for health education and promoting a pleasant, compassionate demeanor.
