  • Surpassing budget expectations by over 20% in my first year (the only region to exceed).
  • Leading a department of 45 FTE’s based across EMEA with an average daily order target of just under $1m.
  • Devised and implemented a new channel strategy for Fender which included Amazon. Turned Amazon in to a multi million account in a matter of months.
  • Restructured the EU sales team and dealer network. Defined the Pureplay channel and Key Accounts list and associated bespoke business strategies.

  • Worked closely with our HR function in delivering a series of training programs to help develop the sales team towards working more strategically in the modern sales environment.
  • Developed the company’s BI platform which resulted in a new set of tools and approach for the sales team to assist with their growth strategies for customers. This became a key tool for their routine customer visits.

  • Responsible for all company departments and operations in EMEA with full P&L ownership – reporting directly to the global CEO based in the US.
  • Company Director for all EU owned entities.
  • Managed both an in house and a remote EU team across multiple departments.
  • Negotiated contracts and terms with customers based in over 60 countries.
  • Increased EMEA sales by 300%. In addition, EMEA sales grew from being less than 20% of Global sales to more than 30% of global sales during my leadership.
  • Continuously improved customer relationships and gained further knowledge of individual market complexities.
  • Established business in new markets and territories across the region, most especially in the Middle East and Africa where sales doubled.
  • Restructured the EU sales channel by removing a distribution network and established direct relationships with retail partners resulting in a sharp increase in revenue and profitability.
  • Built the EU logistics structure, starting with one EU warehouse up to three warehouses (2 x 3PL’s and one in house) to ensure speed of delivery and standard expectations from customers.
  • Routine travel to key customers and territories including international trade shows as well as to the company HQ in the US.
  • Worked closely with the global CEO and the senior global executive team to achieve our global goals and objectives.
  • Drafted and implemented a Brexit plan that avoided business disruptions in to our second biggest market.
  • Continued involvement in the finance function and spear headed a debt restructuring project in late 2016 resulting in a 35% reduction in related costs.
  • Formed part of the senior management team who helped negotiate the merger deal with Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in 2021. Managed the EMEA team during the due diligence process and subsequent merger restructure.
