As part of my course Business studies with event management we were required to complete 40 hours of volunteer work in year 1. I done most of these hours in Ul Student Life while helping to run the charity week events With Shauna O Halloran over me.

Role - Event staff

  • Ticketing and entry - checked tickets , managed the flow of attendees entering the venue, and ensure that only those with the right credentials are allowed in.
  • Directing attendees- assiting the crowd flow by directing attendees to bathrooms, exits, food and beverage stalls and all other areas within the venue.
  • Ensuring safety protocols- ensured that safety measures are followed, such as crowd limits, fire exits being cleared , and adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g, Covid 19 protocols)
  • Backstage management- managed who has access to backstage areas, making sure only autosized personnel, performers and staff can enter.
