Carried out work experience with Vets. Anna, and Connor in Oct. '24. I met great people there incl. wonderful Vet. Nurses. I experienced small animal practice welfare. I also saw how a larger practice, with more than one Vet. operates, and how it impacts differently on the Vet's work-life balance.

Handling Connemara ponies.

Helping to load mares & foals to travel to shows, or to scanning. Helped hold foals for microchipping.

Riding ponies.

Cleaning out horse stables & cattle sheds.

Feeding many farm animals eg. Horses, cattle, donkey, various foul, dogs).

General assisting with fence repair, filling water tanks, distributing silage bales etc.

Helped with the husbandry of a herd of 300 dairy cows. Assisted in feeding, milking, cleaning and medication administration. Helped with calving and the aftercare of calves. Helped prepare for A.I.

Helped with the husbandry of beef cattle in an intensive, large-scale operation. Fed, cleaned and loaded animals into the trailers. Assisted the vets when cattle check-ups were being carried out.
