  • Appointed as the sole participant in a pilot scheme to assess the possibility of remote working, the scheme was a success and was implemented across various departments within the organisation.
  • Similar to my previous role only working remotely. New processes, software and IT applications were implemented to enable loan applications to be assessed online, speeding up decision times.
  • Actively productive in devising and implementing positive solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity.
  • Collaborated with the team to prioritise work load, review, assess, improve processes and procedures inline with policy, compliance, regulation. Approved on average 50 loans per week, working 20 hours a week

  • During this time my daughter was struggling with her reading and literacy in school. Being at home enabled me to liaise and work with her special education teachers and assist her with these challenges and help her to gain confidence in her reading and writing abilities.

  • Employed as a member service advisor, successfully obtained promotion in May 2007 to office supervisor. This role included training staff, daily office duties, cash handling, staff rosters, annual leave records, assisting the lending team, approving loans, preparing reports for oversight committees.

In 2010, I transferred to the lending team fulltime.

  • Duties included interviewing members to obtain relevant information and supporting documents for their loan applications.
  • Assisted customers in understanding loan terms and conditions to make informed decisions.
  • Analysed members previous lending history, financial records, credit reports to assess risk.
  • Maintained strict confidentiality of bank records and member information, upholding member trust and building member confidence inline with the ethos of the Credit Union.
  • Ensured compliance with Credit Union lending policies, legislation and annual continuous professional development requirements.
  • Assisted senior level lending managers with complex loan applications to be review by the board of directors.
  • Worked as part of a dynamic team striving to continuously improve member experiences and remain competitive in the financial services market.
  • Willingly trained new team members, assisted lending administration team as required, provided regular input during team meetings to review strategy, policy, procedures.
