I am the line manager for a team of HR professionals, a member of the senior leadership team, and play the leading role as the HR officer in an organisation with 550 employees. Some of my areas of responsibility include:

• Overall responsibility for the recruitment process, developing KPIs, oversight of the process, ensuring HIQA compliance, workforce planning, operational management and regular preparation of reports to the Director of HR.
• Leading on all employee relations, providing advice on all ER issues and best practice, tracking all ER issues, implementing all ER-related policies, and supporting line managers and senior leadership colleagues on all ER matters.
• Leading on all trust in care cases, tracking, advising line managers, and ensuring all processes are completed in line with policy, including all meetings and investigations.
• Working with the advocacy committee to improve outcomes for service users.
• Oversight of all training and development of employees, including new and mandatory training requirements.
• Project management and strategic development on various key initiatives such as induction compliance across all St John of God regions, developing recruitment standard operating procedures, and retention initiatives.
• Leading in the area of absence mangement and other strategic organisational improvements in employee engagement.
• Oversight of all HR compliance, such as the application of all public/HSE policies, Garda vetting, training records, and adherence to relevant circulars.
• Leading out on a robust performance management process across the organisation, building relationships, and influencing managers in compliance through training and support.

Overall responsibility for leading and managing a school community comprising 85 employees and 950 students. Areas of responsibility included the following:
