Responsibilities include patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning, along with performing procedures such as cannulation and phlebotomy. The role involves participating in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency care, while ensuring accurate documentation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. SHOs are also involved in on-call rotations and contribute to teaching and professional development.

Services Hospital Lahore is a teaching hospital having 1450 beds attached with Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore which forms an integral part of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Punjab. I have served here as Postgraduate Resident Respiratory Medicine

Services Hospital Lahore have State of the art Respiratory Medicine Department, which is well equipped with modern facilities such as Spirometry, Sleep Studies, Bronchoscopy and Pleuroscopy suite. As Postgraduate Resident, my responsibilities were:

• Performing initial assessment of the patient and actively participate in all aspects of patient care, In-depth discussion of all cases with senior colleagues and consultants during morning meeting and ward rounds
• I was also Performing and assisting in routine procedures such as PFTs/Spirometry, Ultrasound Guided Thoracentises , Chest Intubation and Sleep Studies
• I participated in outpatient clinic and preparing consults for Respiratory Medicine and ensuring they were returned with the appropriate plan following consultation with Respiratory Medicine Consultants
• I was also responsible to countersign the Final year students and intern's log books and assessments
• I've been entrusted with administrative duties, including creating on-call rota and allocating various responsibilities to Interns
• Also actively participated in weekly journal club and morbidity and mortality meeting.

I worked here as Emergency Medicine Doctor. The Hospital contains 40 bedded Emergency Department which works all around the clock to provide emergency services to the population of District Bhakkar and nearby area. As doctor here, we came across emergency situations such as Accidents & Orthopedic Cases, Cardiovascular emergencies, Respiratory Emergencies, Neurological Emergencies, Gastrointestinal Emergencies, Urological Emergencies, Toxicology, Snake bites, Pediatric illnesses and Gynecological illnesses.

Basic Health Unit provides preventive, promotional and curative health care services to local community. Besides providing OPD services at the facility we were involved in Campaigns for Eradication of Polio, Dengue, Measles and Extended Program on Immunization (EPI) in local vicinity. These Health care centers also provide the facility of spontaneous vaginal delivery all around the clock by trained birth attendants and first aid to minor trauma cases.

I worked in Services Hospital Lahore as House Officer for duration of one year during which I have been rotated in departments of General Medicine, General Surgery, Dermatology and Anesthesia for three months each.
