Duties as below

• Admittance and discharges of patients
• Developing a personalized care plan, offering ongoing support to patients whilst advocating for their rights
• Communicating with the multidisciplinary team about the progress of the patient
• Giving handovers regarding the patient if they were being transferred to another location or unit
• Educating patients and orienting new nurses to the ward.
• Showing Leadership skills by overseeing the work of support staff
• Maintained up to date knowledge of best nursing practice

• National Early Warning Scores (News) for non pregnant patients
• Medicine management
• Patient moving and handling
• Infection control
• Basic life support(CPR)
• Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA)
• Safeguarding Vulnerable adults.

• In a care home
• Helping the patients with their daily activities of living
• Monitoring and administering medication
• Offering emotional and physical support to both the patients and family members
• Assessing the needs of the patients and developing a care plan for them
• Documenting the daily progress of the patients
• Monitoring and taking the vital signs and blood glucose when needed
• Noting the progress of the patient and reporting to the doctor during their visits.
