I began my professional career in Ireland working at Accenture as an Account Manager. I soon realised that the corporate environment did not align with my personal growth or passions.
Moving into the food industry and starting at The Happy Pear was a major career change for me and had a very positive impact on my life. It helped me realise how closely your sense of purpose and potential are connected to the work you spend your days doing.
Starting my own food truck in Greystones, Wicklow felt like jumping off a cliff and learning how to swim in the most beautiful sea. Along the way, I unexpectedly rewrote my family’s food story, which began in Istanbul, where I grew up. Living in the centre of the city as a child surrounded me with a rich food culture that shaped who I am today. The food truck was featured in The Irish Times and The Sunday Times, with very positive reviews from food critics.
If you would like to learn more about me, I recommend viewing my business Instagram account and Google Maps profile, as the brand I created strongly reflects my identity and potential.
