    Green Schools

    As Green Schools co-ordinator in Scoil Mochua, our school was awarded three green flags (Water, travel and biodiversity) We were also awarded the title of ‘Wexford’s Cleanest School’ for five years in a row from 2013-2017


    Sport

    Throughout my teaching career, I have been actively involved in sport within all of my schools I coached both hurling and football in Scoil Mochua during lunch times and after school In 2017, Scoil Mochua won the Cumann na mBunscoil Roinn A title This was the school’s first hurling title since the 1990’s Later in 2017, I coached the school’s football team to its first ever football title and in 2018 we went on to defend our Roinn A hurling title In my first year in St Pats, I coached athletics after school for children from fourth to sixth class I also organised teams for competitions in Rathnew and Avondale


    Active Schools

    As a member of the Scoil Mochua active schools committee, I had a role in promoting physical and mental wellbeing within the school setting As someone who has a keen interest in running, this is an area of particular interest to me Some of my responsibilities as part of the committee included the organisation of sports day, contacting coaches for in school events and organising whole school events to encourage a healthy lifestyle such as the ‘Marathon in March Challenge’ and the ‘Eat the Rainbow’ lunch initiative

    I have prepared classes for the 'Sing Out Loud' concert in Wexford Opera House

    In my role as history and geography facilitator, I was responsible for the upkeep of resources for all class levels

    For four years (2016-2019), I worked with Co Wexford Education Centre as a facilitator for the ‘Team Maths’ course My role encompassed some of the following aspects:

    -Delivering the ‘Team Maths’ course to schools as part of their Croke Park hours

    -Delivering the ‘Team Maths’ summer course through Wexford Education Centre

    -Delivering the ‘Team Maths’ evening course through various education centres such as Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny

    ICT

    This year, I have assisted teachers with the use of ICT in their classroom and how it can be integrated into all areas of the curriculum I have helped teachers in the following ways;

    -introducing Google docs to their students

    -using wordwallcom during Irish

    -how AI such as Chat GPT can help with planning and the creation of resources
