  • Currently working for Ireland's leading provider of sports statistics for the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) and have increased company turnover by over 500% since joining the team in 2015
  • Promoted to Head of Operations in 2018 following 4 years working as a data analyst
  • Responsible for the everyday running of the business and communicating/presenting to our company stakeholders
  • Responsible for identifying ways of streamlining our game coding process which has resulted in an overall 25% reduction in time taken for data collection
  • The aims and objectives of the company are to supply data analysis and match reports to inter-county teams, NGB's and Media outlets
  • Responsible for the distribution of live statistics during all games in Croke Park which are displayed on RTE, GAAGO, Croke Park's big screen & in the national newspapers once distributed to journalists
  • Data is collected using Dartfish notational analysis to code each game in detail, creating CSV files
  • These CSVs are uploaded to our own database which we then explore and analyse by querying our database using SQL
  • Data is then imported to spreadsheets & Tableau to formulate statistics & interactive match reports based on the sports key performance indicators
  • Working closely with the GAA Rules Committee to identify trends in the data which has influenced the implementation of rule changes in both Gaelic Football & Hurling.
