I have lived in London for almost 40 year's and worked in building and construction industry for all that time so my experience is vast. I have been a site manager for 15 years and worked on many different projects in this time. I have moved back to Ireland with my family 4 years ago. I come from a carpentry background and I have a good head for solving problems that might occur quickly. I have got on well with all who have worked with me including the clients.
I started with Flynn’s in SETU Waterford in May 2023.
My working roll was the same as below. The works consisted of insulation and plastering outside walls with isulation, stow render new windows, new sliding doors, air condition in all classrooms, new ceilings, new lights all areas, painting and decoration of all areas, new AHU units on roof, some new electrics and new slabbing outside with ground works and forming new offices in some areas. This was done on an old building.
This was a challenging job because some of the works had to be done in a live building and the weather did not help.
November 2023 – June 2024.
Was sent to help a junior manager on a new build for OPW in Portlaoise for Flynn’s. This was a training facility for the prison service and my tasks were the same as below and to finish the job up to practical completion as Flynn's wanted some where else fast.
This was a very difficult job because weather played a very big roll for ground works, concrete, brick and block laying, pipe works and most job external. Once this was finished the rest of the job ran very well.
June 2024 – Present
Went to Carrigtwohill Cork to a Merck new pharmaceutical plant. This is a new build with over 600 tradesmen working on it. My roll was over Housekeeping and Logistics subbed out to Arcadis. Flynn’s already had site set up installed with their own offices on site. My role was to make sure all contractors cleaned up their area, signage and barriers were in place so workers has safe ingress and access to all areas of site, skips were exchanged daily and waste segregated. Fork lifts and 360 worked in a co-ordinating way with lots deliveries on a daily basis. Health and Safety was paramount every step of the way when machinery was involved. This was challenging position which kept me on my toes.

Being involved in the weekly progress report with CPAC head office and client. Keeping records on a daily basis
