  • The main focus of my time as a snowboard instructor was to pass on my knowledge of the sport in a fun and safe way. The people I was instructing ranged from young to old and from very experienced to not experienced at all. This job also gave me of plenty opportunities to work with people for whom English was not their first language.

  • My role in Awesome Walls as a climbing instructor made me very efficient at ensuring high safety standards at all times and gave me the ability to ensure guests are still able to have a good time while ensuring safety standards.   • During the Summer of 2018 I spent two months teaching sea kayaking to kids of all ages and adults. While working I was able to run my own sessions and come up with fun things to do to make the experience more enjoyable for the kids. This role also made me very weather aware and of how it could affect a session.

  • During my time at Tayto Park I was the main point of contact for the public to communicate with. My job was to make sure all the customers were aware of everything in the park and where to find it. Another of my duties was to be watchful of the animals in the park and to make sure that members of the public were respectful of them. I was also responsible for making sure the park was kept clean and presentable. I was in charge of managing the car park to make sure there was no traffic jams. I was also charged with making sure the park was empty at closing time. During my time here I had to work mostly on my own and so was able to deal with many situations that arose.

  • While I was working for the Rye River Brewing Company my main responsibilities were packaging, labelling, transport and disposal. I also had to coordinate with other stations of the company and transport materials between locations. This improved my organizational skills.

  • I have also worked as a landscapers assistant for many years at different times of my life. This has thought me many useful skills and helped me grow accustomed to working in outdoor conditions.
