- I would survey upcoming jobs for materials required and ensure they are ordered and delivered on time for start date,
- Request service drawing from the client DFI and mark out where the water, telecoms and electricity is located,
- i would also liaise with the surfacing engineer to let him know when we will be finished or ready for his squad to come and do their work,
- At the end i would measure up all work completed and do a joint measurement with the road service it and put it into the bill to get it submitted for payment. Through this i learnt the importance of keeping a site diary for dig depths, concrete ordered, tar ordered etc.
