I am 18 years old from Virginia County Cavan. I enjoy playing sports such as Gaelic football and have won lots of achievements with the club. Main achievement with club was winning county championship with the minor team. I am in Ballyhaise agricultural college in my second year doing and advanced dairy course which I will get the green cert out of when completed. I enjoy farming and working out doors, always had the interest in farming since I grew up on farm and working on it most days whenever I can. I have worked for other farmers as well while at college and working for placement. While in college last year I was doing evening milking for a neighbouring farmer with 220 cows in a 24 unit parlour. when I was on placement I was on a robot farm which had five Lely robots with near 500 cows. At home we have 160 cows spring calving herd. We also do contracting which includes slurry spreading, fertiliser spreading, silage making, hedge cutting, reseeding, ploughing and discing.
