Under academic and corporate supervision, access and analyze scientific literature to support experimental or dissertation-based research. Completing a written dissertation, oral presentation, and viva voce will help develop critical thinking, time management, and scientific communication skills. Reflect on placement experiences and use scientific reasoning to produce evidence-based findings., Year 3: As part of a 3rd year project entitled Analyzing ibuprofen racemates in over the counter pharmaceuticals using High Performance Liquid Chromatography with a chiral stationary phase, I had to collect data in the lab including the brand name Nurofen and the generic forms of ibuprofen. This project included computer skills using excel, as well as laboratory techniques such as aseptic technique, sample preparation, dilution, pipetting.
