Waitress

Franks/Delahunt
Dublin
10.2022 - 05.2023
  • I started working in Franks, a wine bar which was connected to the restaurant Delahunt. I moved from Franks to Delahunt to get more service indutry experience.
  • Franks gave me amazing wine skills and was a slightly more casual form of service experience, however I had to be much more knowledgeable about the wine and the service I was providing.
  • I then moved up to Delahunt to gain more experience as Delahunt is a fine dinning restaurant and a part of the industry I was unfamiliar with. This restaurant required me to learn much more about different food and drink.
  • I had to be far more informative and understand everything that I was serving to a level that was very high.
  • I had to be very good with time management as we had to time the food and the tables perfectly.

  • I was promoted to being a team-leader within two months of being hired and so had more responsibility.

  • During my second year working here, we had to deal with the COVID restrictions that were applied to the service industry.
  • We had to keep everything as clean as possible and had to explain it all to our customers if they were unsure of the situation.
  • However the restrictions helped to improve my cleaning and communication skills.
