Summary

I thoroughly enjoy sports; Gaelic football and athletics in particular. I play actively with Balyna LGFA, and this year I also was honoured to be part of the Kildare U16 panel. I am also a member of St. Coca's Athletic Club, where I have developed my individual & team relay sprinting skills in 100 & 200m,

I have this year also undertaken helping out with Balyna GAA Nursery, where I help children aged 4-6 years start and develop the skills of Gaelic football, and teamwork.

I have previously volunteered with my club, when they were chosen to participate in the Lidl One Good Club Programme, which is a 5 step themed youth mental health programme, where the themes are; "Be Active", "Take Notice", "Connect", "Give" & "Keep Learning".

Since starting in Enfield Community College, I have been presented with awards for "Student of the Term", "Academic Achievement" & "Spirit of the Class".

  • Team Work; I have always worked well as part of a team I play with Balyna LGFA, and I was on the Kildare U16 panel this year, where teamwork is vital for better outcomes and a more positive environment
  • Calm under pressure; I have found that by being calm under pressure leads to better decision making and performance
  • Communication skills; I find that it improves better understanding, makes issues clear and concise, leading to fewer mistakes
  • Time Management; I always aim to be prepared, on time, if not early for any event/training session/school, which i find has made me more efficient, and avoids stress
  • Positive attitude; I always try to bring a positive attitude towards anything I undertake as it builds confidence and decision making, and better leadership particularly in a team environment
