Main Roles & Responsibilities:

I had responsibility for monies collected at the security office. Record keeping of all monies coming through the office and furnishing a breakdown of these monies to the accounts department.

I liaised with account and plan for the routine jackpotting of the pay stations.

I liaised with the Day/Night controllers and give a report of issues to department manager

I co-ordinated processing of badges on and off site for the community and informing the Finance Manager of any billing required.

I maintained all records to an auditable standard, ensuring that record books are in supply and staff know the importance of maintaining these records.

I had responsibility for the blood tracking facility and training of the base controllers within the department.

I was responsible for upskilling all base and locum controllers on how to create, programme and active access cards.

I ensured that the controllers know the different access types and what staff are assigned the different access levels.

I worked on the CCTV system to remove and store all footage currently saved to the computer system and I worked with the base controllers to ensure they know how to Playback, Record, Save and troubleshoot any issues with the CCTV. I have requested from the company responsible for the CCTV system a pathway for downloading footage which I will adopt to our service needs in line with GDPR.

I worked with the Orderly/Security staff at present ensuring they are all set up on the HSE email system and they have all created their HSELanD accounts.

I worked with the base controllers to ensure that the following records are maintained and that these records available for auditing: All Fire alarm (ensuring that the cause is clearly identified, Occurrence/incident Books (ensuring incident forms are completed when necessary) Security Patrol (internal & external), Key issue and Man down issue sheets, making sure they are signed out correctly to allow security trace any missing items. Storing of daily log sheets for auditing and follow up queries. The completion of the car park accident book, ensuring all the information is collected and that the Gardaí and Hospital Management are informed. Documenting of all Cardiac Arrests/Emergency Team Call tests and attendance by security.

I carried bleep #298 and I attend all Cardiac, Paediatric, Obs/Gynae, Man Down & Baby tagging alarms to support the orderly security staff and to co-ordinate work where necessary.

I had responsibility for reporting of faults to technical services department and maintaining records in our log book.

I monitored stock levels for the control office and order, stationary, car park tickets, badges, ribbons, body bags, wipes and record books.

I met with the Night controller each morning and take the report, redeploy staff due to short notice sick leave or other types of leave, and ensure staff are on time for their duty. Any member of the staff who has an issue with time keeping I would speak to them with the base controller and remind them of the time and attendance policy. Prolonged issue with timekeeping would be escalated to the lead manager.

I reported all absences and staffing issues to the department manager

I assisted the lead manager with administrative, the formation of daily, weekly monthly rosters. The creation of rosters on the SRS system and other duties that require attention.

I also deputise for the lead manager when on leave and am very familiar with all aspects of the manager's role.
