
27 year-old Irish male currently working as a Research Assistant in the energy team at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI). My work at the ESRI primarily focuses on researching electricity markets for high levels of variable renewable generation, with a particular focus on the future redesigning of Irish energy markets. I hold an MSc in Applied Economics from University College Dublin and a B.A. in Economic & Social Studies from Trinity College Dublin. I am an outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal and communications skills with a strong aptitude for mathematics, analysis and linguistics.
Strong interest in the energy sector as well as economic development and climate economics which has been further developed in work in the Climate Research Unit at the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery & Reform of the Irish Government. I also have a strong knowledge of econometrics and data analysis, with strong proficiency in R, Python, Stata and SQL.
