I am currently working at NPA at the HSE. This has allowed me to develop and improve my skills at teamwork, time management, planning and organization. My proficiency with computers includes data entry, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Saga 50, and the SAP Payroll system which I have earned through my professional life and studies. Alongside my work, I am also studying Accounting and Finance at Griffith College and hope for a career in this field upon completion. I eventually want to become a chartered accountant. I am progressing well in both in my career and studies thanks to my decisive nature, aptitude for self-development and determination to achieve my goals.

  • My position has been extended to include Galway and Mayo within the scope of our office's jurisdiction. This included learning and integrating the existing methods and procedures for data processing in these areas with our own.
  • I was responsible for overseeing and training 5 new staff members who joined our section during the expansion.
  • I was in charge of reviewing Shorter Working Years for the North West area, which included monitoring SAP, allocating tasks and carrying out quality control reviews on the new staff member’s work.
  • My main roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating profiles for new staff members on SAP Payroll system, setting up their payroll, factoring in previous service for pay increments, updating existing profiles for promotion, change of contract, temporary positions with increased pay and dealing with staff leaving.
  • Using SAP I run Pay simulations on a daily basis and calculate arrears, and reduce payments.
  • I am dealing with Payroll for fortnightly, monthly and four-weekly staff.
  • I was adjusting absences for Maternity, Paternity, Parent’s and Parental leave, processing pension claims and PRSI Class changes.
  • I trained my higher grade colleague operation of the SAP Payroll system.
  • I was processing the Job Evaluation procedure for Store Persons backdated to 2021 and calculating arrears, which included taking into account the future actions.
  • Finding errors in the records and Contracts in Salary Scales which did not match with Incremental Credit Sheet requirements.
  • I was Campaign Lead on several national campaigns with hundreds of candidates, managing their personal information, overseeing the progress of campaigns, corresponding with candidates, creating spreadsheets and interview documentation to manage and organize their information.
  • I redesigned the training of new Clerical Officers, created new training plans and documentation, updating and streamlining the procedure to make it more efficient and more relevant to the current needs of the role.
  • Throughout the course of my duties, I have created several automated Excel spreadsheets to streamline the procedure and assist with compiling records.
  • Many of these spreadsheets are now used as templates by my recruitment team.
  • I have found my skills with Word and Excel to be invaluable in both performing my role and assisting my colleagues.

  • I realized that a large number of customers coming in were lactose intolerant or had gluten allergies, and that often we would lose their business by being unable to provide alternatives for them.
