Work history

Bartender

Ballyboden St.Endas
Dublin, Ireland
10.2023 - Current
  • I help manage the bar of one of Ireland's largest GAA clubs. Managing stock, working as a team player and providing exemplary customer service are just a few of the skills I have learnt at Ballyboden St. Endas.

Maths and Physics Tutor

Self Employed
Dublin, Ireland
10.2023 - Current
  • Being a self-employed maths and physics tutor has been challenging. Organising my busy college and work timetable in conjunction with my students has taught me the importance of time management and punctuality. Learning how to adapt to different students learning capabilities and goals has been a valuable experience

Projects

AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)

Designed and built a small-scale AGV to follow a track using sensor feedback. Contributed to coding, SolidWorks design, and metalwork fabrication. Gained hands-on experience in teamwork, problem-solving, and applying mechanical engineering principles.

Fluid Dynamics Boat Project

Worked in a team of seven to design and optimise a small-scale boat using iterative design methods. Applied Bernoulli’s equation and Reynolds number analysis to balance buoyancy and speed. Used SolidWorks and CFD simulations to refine hull performance, and 3D printed the final design. Achieved a top-of-class grade for design, testing, and presentation.

Automatic Wine Degasser (Personal)

A personal project creating an automatic wine degasser to preserve opened bottles of wine for both commercial and industrial use. Starting from scratch, I selected components using a consistent criteria of performance and durability. I used an iterative design method to maximise performance whilst keeping the cost low. This project is in the late prototyping stages which i hope to finish by the end of Summer '25.
