  • Independently perform high-quality diagnostic imaging across various departments including A&E, mobile radiography, theatre, MRI, DEXA, mammography and cardiac intervention imaging.
  • Deliver accurate imaging under high-pressure conditions such as in STEMI cases, supporting emergency protocols and urgent clinical decision-making.
  • Provide intraoperative radiography during orthopaedic, vascular, and general surgeries, working closely with surgeons and theatre teams.
  • Extensive MRI experience in high-volume departments and also during weekends with minimal staff, including neurological, MSK, abdominal, and oncological studies. Responsible for MRI safety screening, patient cannulation, contrast administration, and workflow prioritisation. Successfully managed and reassured anxious and claustrophobic patients to ensure cooperation and comfort.
  • Execute mammograms, performing high-quality images for both symptomatic patients and mammography screening, sometimes up to 40 mammograms per day.
  • Assisting in breast biopsies alongside breast radiologists under both MRI and mammogram guidance. Provide compassionate care for patients before, during and after radiographic procedures.
  • Profound experience running busy lists for DEXA scanners, where by one reports on scans once complete, ensuring accurate patient results and showing leadership and responsibility
  • Mentor student radiographers and newly qualified staff, providing supervision, guidance, and feedback to support development.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, clinical governance, and radiation protection practices.
  • Conduct regular checks of radiology equipment and undertake daily quality assurance to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
