My responsibilities include the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategies to ensure that AIB Group can continue to operate with minimal disruption to customers and business units during and after an disruptive event.
  • This involves risk assessments, crisis planning, training and coordination with business units across AIB Group which includes teams in the UK and USA to minimize downtime and mitigate against potential losses, customer harm and reputational damage.
  • As Head of Business Continuity Management, planing of Operational Resilience type scenario exercises is key to the role. This involves: Identifying of Vital Business Services to determine criticality to the business. Risk Assessment to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Scenario development by creation of severe but plausible events such as Cyber attack, weather disruptions and pandemics. Exercise planning, agree stakeholders, objectives of exercise and timeframes required. Upon completion of the exercises complete lessons learned to continuous improve future scenario exercises.
  • In addition to the above, responsibilities for Incident management of which structure incident management process of Bronze, Silver and Gold is in place to manage live events
  • Experienced in the completed of Central Bank of Ireland, European Central Bank and Joint Supervisory team inspections across AIB group.
