• Betting Website with Dynamic Odds Calculation : The objective of this project is to develop a betting website that dynamically calculates odds based on the previous year’s league results. The website aims to ensure the house always makes a profit. The odds will be set in a way that encourages betting while maintaining profitability. The goal is to generate approximately 5 cents profit for the house per dollar/euro bet.
• Machine learning the game of Checkers : The project involves using machine learning techniques to train an AI system to play the game of Checkers. The goal is to teach the computer the game’s rules and allow it to acquire playing experience through trillions of games. The performance of the AI system can then be compared against top Checkers programs, with the expectation of achieving a draw. Similar principles can be applied to the game of Chess, where the AI’s performance can be tested against a top Chess engine like Stockfish.
• AI image recognition challenge : The project involves building an image recognition software that can accurately identify and classify different objects, particularly challenging cases such as distinguishing between a Chihuahua and a muffin or identifying dog breeds that resemble bears. Additionally, the software can be tested on differentiating between cats and dogs compared to human performance. The project offers flexibility in terms of direction and scope, with the requirement to discuss any proposed approaches with the project supervisor.
• Sentiment analysis of stock market using twitter data and predicting the future stocks : The project involves performing sentiment analysis on Twitter data related to the stock market and using it to predict future stock movements. The aim is to analyze the sentiment expressed in tweets about specific stocks or market trends and determine whether they are positive, negative, or neutral. By leveraging machine learning techniques, the project seeks to build predictive models that can anticipate future stock market movements based on the sentiment analysis of Twitter data. The project may also involve data preprocessing, feature extraction, model training and evaluation, and potentially incorporating other relevant data sources or indicators for enhanced predictions.
